Leinart fires agent Steinberg

From www.yahoo.com USC QB Matt Leinart fired agent Leah Steinberg less than 3 weeks before the NFL draft,where he is expected to be among the top 3 choices.Steinberg said Wednesday he did not know the reason for the decision.Leinart,however,is also represented by Creative Artists Agency.Last week,the agency hired Tom Condon,who represents such QBs as Peyton and Eli Manning,Drew Brees and Alex Smith,the No. 1 pick last year by San Francisco.Leinart has not yet selected another agent.Players' union rules require a player to wait 5 days after leaving one agent before hiring a new one.Steinberg said he hopes to lure Leinart back during the waiting period.Steinberg represents Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger and has had such clients as HOFs Troy Aikman,Warren Moon and Steve Young.Leinart's USC teammate Reggie Bush is expected to be taken by Houston with the first pick.Both Tennessee (third pick)and the NY Jets (fourth pick) are considering a trade to get Leinart.

I had read somewhere online of other rumors of the Titans and Jets trying to make a deal with N.O. for the #2 pick charper,can't recall where I saw that at though.
