According to Wilt Hildenbrand, CV's senior technolgoy advisor, the Litchfield CT system will be getting CBS-HD on 702 starting today. I'm assuming it will be WFSB-DT out of Hartford. A nice present from CV just in time for the Superbowl.

that is correct -- I just checked and its on. (is this just for the game today) as I don't care about sports...

I'm in the final stage of signing up with DirecTV -- how does its HD "lite" locals compare to CableVision HD. Also how are the SD channels compared to CableVision?

Thanks for the heads up!

HD on Cablevision is better IMO. SD is a toss up to me. I've compared it on my own 43", my parents 50" & 61" Pioneers as well. I don't have MPEG-4 HD going to compare, which you in CT will most likely be getting, as my HD MPEG-4 receiver is hooked up to a 27" SD Sony at the moment. Love my HR10-250 too much to upgrade it to the HR20.
