I'm new here and hoping someone can clarify. From what I understand the 18 inch dish has one LNB on it and is meant to pick up only the 101 bird. The Phase III has 3 LNB's on it and can pick up all 3 orbits and therefore is called a triple LNB. Why then does Direct TV say the 18 inch is a "Dual LNB"? I'm guessing it is because it has two outputs off the back of it. Wouldn't it be more accurate to call it a single LNB with 2 outputs. I had always thought single, dual, triple indicated how many LNB's were actually on the dish. Where am I going wrong? Thanks for your comments..

Dual LNB means it can drive 2 receivers without a switch. You can also get single LNBs that can only drive 1 receiver.
