Can anyone advise me why I am getting different LNB skew settings for same satellite from same location on Dishpointer maps website and Dishpointer iphone app.

From my position (postcode BL26LW) for Sat 28.2E iphone app shows skew of -20.5 and Dishpointer map on website shows skew of -13.1

I see. The SES Astra satellites over Europe are a bit special since they are pre-skewed by 7.5 degrees. While the DishPointer website takes care of that, the iPhone app does not do that because of the way the satellites are displayed. So, the -13.1° value is correct, however, you need to optimize the lnb skew by watching the signal quality bar on your receiver anyway since the skew values can be seen only as a rough guide due to verly large manufacturing tolerances of the lnbs.

Thanks for that. So if I take 7.5 degrees off the iphone app skew value, whatever my position, can I assume I will have a more or less correct value for Sat 28.2E?
