Massillon Goes All-Digital With ‘DTAs’

Massillon Cable TV will kick off the final leg of its initiative to phase out analog service starting this summer, using some 100,000 low-cost digital-to-analog converters supplied through Evolution Digital.

Sounds like a good idea - I wonder if Massillon would be willing to provide a smart card (and authorize) if customers want to supply their own DVB-C / Conax slot equipment?

Actually, seems like they would have to, under current regulations.

I wish other cable companies would move to DVB-C here in the USA; we'd have so much more competition in the cable set top business, practically overnight.
