Does anyone watch Mayans on FX? If so, is it really glitchy for you guys also? That’s really the only show I watch on that channel. So I’m not sure if it’s the show or the channel. But every few minutes the screen will freeze for just a second or two and then continues to play. It does it the whole hour the show is on. And it’s done it for every episode this season. I was worried that it was my Hopper. But it’s the only show/channel that does it. And my coworker who also has Dish said his does the same thing.

Same thing here. Noticed it a couple of weeks ago and again on this week's episode. Thought it was a hard drive issue maybe. Are you watching live when it occurs?

I randomly recorded another show from FX a couple weeks back. I don’t remember what is was. I was just testing to see if it did it also. I watched about 20 minutes and it never happened once.

I’m thinking this is a Dish issue. I have a friend with Spectrum cable and he doesn’t have these issues.

I started watching my recording of the Mayans a week or so ago and noticed this. At first I thought it was a one-off, but had the problem EVERY episode. I started to review other DVR recordings from the same period and did not have any issues.

It appears that this is either an FX issue with the uplink to Dish or a DISH issue after the uplink from FX.

Curious, is everyone watching FX on the same birds? I am on Eastern Arc myself. Interested in whether anyone has an issue on the Western Arc birds. That could rule out a possible transponder issue.

I’m also on Eastern Arc.

It was pretty bad on the last season of Mayans for me, and also seeing it on The Old Man as well. It seems to happen mostly when the scenes are especially dark/at night. Can't remember if it happened on the Bill Clinton show to. VERY annoying but I don't have the patience to call Dish and go through their level 1 troubleshooting. Hopefully someone sees this thread and escalates it appropriately.

edit: Sounds very similar to this thread and may not be limited to just FX?

After being on YTTV for a month MIL now complaining about intermittent freezing.Of course what can I do about it?Complain to YT?Complain to Comcast? The only good part is I left the comcast modem/router in place (15 bucks a month!) so they can't blame the router/modem I was planning on using.
