Metal Package Rquired?

I have a 622 on pre-order thru DSN and currently only have the basic HD package plus Voom. Will I be able to get the new HD channels with this package and a 622, or will I need to upgrade to a Metal Package?

I really don't watch much TV and have trouble justifying an extra $30 a month when I won't watch any of the SD stuff. That $30 just goes so much farther at Netflix than it will with the bronze package.

Since the basic HD package technically doesn't exist anymore, I can't get any info on what exactly I am supposed to recieve with it.

Since you are leasing the 622 you will have to sub to at least the HD Bronze package and it will include the new "mpeg4" HD channels. If you sub to SD locals and if you are in one of the HD Local markets, you will get those also. If you purchase a 622/211/411 then you could keep your old HD Pack/Voom channels. You won't be able to if you lease.

I am purchasing it thru the Dishstore and will keep my old HD pack. What I want to know, is will I recieve ALL the HD with the old HD pack or are the new channels only available with a Metal Package.

Wow, with tax and fees that will be about $38 which is $17 more than I pay now. For the 2 extra channels I will actually watch, Filmfest and World cinema, it hardly seems worth it.
