Google's summaries are pretty much useless once they started forcing their AI into it and bumping the web results with the correct information further down the page. It also frequently gives answers that are flat out wrong. i.e. falsely claiming a new app is in development for D2C users when it's going to be done via the existing MLB app.
The Tigers, or any of the other new to MLB teams, haven't officially announced any traditional TV deals yet. When they do it will be listed on
their website.
In previous years they waited until the final week of spring training to announce their TV deals, so no information in February and the first half of March is normal. Like for the Guardians, Rangers and Twins last season we got our first indication when their feeds started testing on DTV's stream server and showed up in test mode on the TPN map. The Rangers feed showed up on the TPN maps the week of 3/12 and went live on 3/17, the Guardians feed showed up the week of 3/19, the Twins feed showed up the week of 3/26, both went live on 3/27. The Rangers did their own thing with Victory+ so they had an early announcement, the Twins didn't officially announce their TV deals until the morning of 3/27 after the channel was already live.
