You are going off the deep end here. Simply by stating the facts is not being arrogant. If you do not like the slow internet, then I guess accept it, or not. But life is full of choices. Complaining about it solves nothing.

Well when you said you were "tired of city folk....." that's a complaint. Not sure how you can view it as something different. Whatever. This is stupid and silly. We all have choices to make in life and that's what makes life beautiful. You can't have it all ways, just that simple.

Here the state has subsidized the buildout of HSI to "underserved" communities. They call it the MBI project (Mass Broadband Institute) where the state built what they called a "middle mile" network of fiber following the major highway corridors around the underserved areas and connected up all the police departments, schools, fire departments, libraries and sech. The idea was for "last mile" companies to come in and fight over all the territories and build out the last mile of fiber to serve the underserved. Didn't happen even with the middle mile built. So the state had to dump a ton more money into it to basically subsidize the complete cost of build to the underserved communities before the last mile companies came to play. Some towns got no suitors and so they took the state money and built their own. I am not sure how long this process has taken but I would say about 6 to 7 years and my town, which is getting Spectrum fiber to the home service has not had one residence lit up yet. They are currently in the process of upgrading pole infrastructure in town which tells me that the pole agreements are all in place now which was one of the major hurdles. Should be up and running possibly by fall or this time next year if all goes well. We will have access to gigabit service if we are willing to pay for it.
