Channel 798 HDSAT on expressvu check it out:

"Bell ExpressVu has arranged for additional satellite capacity at 82 degrees WL. As we reconfigure our transponders to allow us to add channels in the future you may experience some breif interruption to your service, on a channel by channel basis untill March 3rd"

"We will make the interruptions as short as possible in the early morning, with a maximum outage time of one hour."

Feb 28: TSNHD (850), NBCHW (820), MPIXHD (855).
Mar 1: CTVHW, CTVHE, SN-HD, FineL, CTVTB, S+L, M-HD, MC-HD, CBN, CTYHE, FOXHW.

Just an aside, TP7 & TP11 are now active, getting 93%/91% signal, where as the rest have never been over 80% for me (Central Canada).

I wonder if this has anything to do with last week's downtime on sat 82. In case some weren't aware, all the channels on 82 went blank last week for a few hours.

Also wonder if now some of the hidden channels like Treasure HD and Oasis HD will be launched soon after this is done.

Have they recieved approval for using that old Directv sat yet?

I have a really bad feeling about this...

they might be moving N3 over...although it would have to book to get over there that quick.

I believe Vu will be adding two 24/7HD channels coming on line soon. What I think is happening is they are moving channels that were on 82 to 91/3 to make room for more HD and something else that is coming in the pipe!

Already T7 and T11 (with the above mentioned TSN-HD and NBC W) are in the mid 60s for me. A person in Miami reports they are totally gone in Miami and have been all day - so much for 1 hour :(

Looking at the Transponders on 82, I am seeing alot of them with no signal right now. The ones I continue to get are in the mid to upper 80s....except 7 and 11 being at 66.

Right now the transponders I have no signal on are:

0 on 4- DiscoveryHD(in fact the setup screen will not even tune to it)
0 on 6 (TSN-HD)
7 is low
0 on 8 - been gone
0 on 10 (NCAA HD and WHDH-HD)
11 is low
0 on 12 - been gone
0 on 24 - been gone
0 on 29 - been gone
0 on 31 - been gone

I saw this post yesterday so I checked my system out. All the HD channels were there, but my system had to reset as I turned the receiver on. If they are adding HD channels, I hope they are good ones.

Just stumbled on this thread. I'm in New Jersey and the signal strength on 82 is through the roof. I was borderline on some transponders like 6 for TSN HD which now appears to be on Tr7. The signal strength is at or near 100.

Better for you northerners - but us southerners need big dishes!

I should point out my reading above are with a .90 meter dish.

God help you in the Southern areas with a .5 meter.

I've had 82w with a 90cm dish since day one, when I checked last night there was only a few channels down, not more the 3 or so.

So we'll see how it goes tomorrow March 3rd when things will be back to normal according to Bell. :D

Quite a change since 3/1

17 87 88
18 82 81
19 86 86
20 85 83
21 89 89
22 82 00
23 87 85
24 00 84
25 87 96
26 83 82
27 86 85
28 86 81
29 00 97
30 82 82
31 00 88
32 83 80

If this is normal, I have all the HD Channels I had before, but I see another thread where someone in California is yelling about loosing 7 HD Channels.
