Multi/Switch location

D* will be coming out Wed. to install for first time. I have ran my coa4) out to where dish will be. The dish will be 50ft. from where it enters the house. I am not getting HD at this time so don't know what dish they will install. If they install three lnb dish the multiswitch will be internal to dish and this is mute,but if not then this is my question. Where is best place to install mutiswitch. At the dish or where it enters the house. One run will be 100 + ft. after is enters the house making it 150+ft total length to dish.

If it were me installing I would put it near where I ground the system/dish etc. The length at this level anyway only has to do with what is covered under a free install and if you supplied the 100ft run I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. You shouldn't lose anything in 150ft

I always try to put them inside the house, or at least in a sheltered area. While most are supposed to be weatherproof, I would prefer making it less vulnerable to moisture.
