NO - that switch is NOT going to do what you want.

If your 500 actually has a Legacy TWIN (likely), and your 300 is a Legacy Dual, then all you need is a pair of simple SW-21's.

A Twin has a wide housing, 2 eyes, 2 outputs.

From the posted link said:
Allows One Satellite Dish to Operate Up to Four Satellite Receivers
Dish receivers can use this, but very few Dish setups are for single satellite operation. Dish500 receives 2 and you're looking to add a third.

Dish500 does not come with "a dual." It is typically *2* duals or a Twin (legacy or DishPro). Dish500 is neither legacy nor DishPro, [zen]it is the dish[/zen]. I'm guessing Simon correctly guessed what you meant, but I'll run through the other possibilities.

DishPro Twin
Dish300 needs a DP Dual, add 2 DP21s. Or a DP Single (or DP Dual) and a DP34 switch which leaves you set up to later add 2 more tuners.

2 legacy duals
Dish300 needs a legacy dual LNB, add an SW64. Probably cheaper to replace the duals with a Twin and add the SW21s.
