Multiple LNB on 6' C band dish?

I will get a 6' mesh type C band dish. I have no experience on C band dish. Any suggestions or advice to my questions will be welcome.

1. I was told that the motor can only be driven by a 4DTV receiver because of its 36V voltage, any other ways to drive it?

2. If I don't use the motor, can I use mutiple LNB (like 2~3 LNBs) on the dish? I was told I can only use one LNB and I didn't see anyone here talks about multiple LNB on big dish?

3. If comparing the 6' mesh type dish with Ku LNB and a 1.2m dish with Ku LNB, any people has ideas which has better signal quality? I heard that Ku signals are 30% less efficient on mesh type dish than C band signals.

Thanks for any replys

Michael

You can grab a cheap analog IRD off ebay, and just slave the DVB box to it this will also bring in many analog C-band feeds, if you can get a bigger dish 8.5' and up then grab a 4dtv I could not recommend a 4d on such an undersized reflector, you will only mount one feedhorn on the dish it will have both c/ku lnbs, then use the arm to move to other satellites.
Slave DVB to 4dtv or analog IRD:

Setting up the dish:

If the dish is not warped and the mesh is small, then it should be good on Ku-band.

There are devices which will hook up inline between a receiver and dish and intercept DiSEqC commands (like a small motor uses) and convert them into signals that will move a large dish with a 36v motor. One of those devices is the Vbox II.

I am not 100% sure on voltage ratings but would assume that if the 4DTV can do it so can most all of the more recent IRD's, like within the last 7 - 10 years.
