My Book Move

Can I move my MY BOOK from the Dishnetwork and put it on my PC?

I've been trying and while it appears as a device on the PC, I can not access it.

You certainly can, but you will likely have to reformat it and lose all content. It's covered with ext3 (Linux) partitions now.

I assume you are trying to watch the recorded programs on your computer? Probably not in our lifetime. Highly protected so that you need Dish service/Receiver to watch.

If you want to use it as a hard drive for your computer, yes, you would need to have the computer reformat it, for use with that operating system which of course would erase everything on the hard drive.
