My Bullseye Dual C / Dual Ku feedhorn came today
The Chaparall dual feed c and ku feedhorn came today. No time to install it until maybe this weekend.
I did put one of the Norsat lnbs on my corotor II. Instantly I picked up 4-5 percentage points across the arc. This Norsat really outperforms the cheapie lnbs.
I tried locking the G3-C equity stuff. The pansat 9200 would pixellate with audio but no clean picture.
I go and get the Fortec Ultra from the spare bedroom and connect it to the 10' dish (this is the one I just put the Norsat on), Voila!!, I get perfect reception and no pixels.
It seems the tuner in the pansat is not doing as well as the fortec ultra!
Same signal/same dish Pansat 9200HD won't lock, but Fortec Ultra will!!!
Another interesting observation is the signal Level meter... It usually shows high on the scale. It of course will show noise or anything not just good signal. The quality meter is always what counts.
But with the Norsat lnb, The signal level meter is much lower. Signals are falling anywhere around 60 percent to 90 percent on LEVEL.
The level meter bounces around a little while the quality is very consistent.
My cheap lnb, would hold a constant level while the quality bounced around. This Norsat is just opposite.
I guess the signal Level meter is somewhat accurate with a high quality lnb.
