NOVEMBER 22, 2005 -

NBC Universal Cable will bow a pair of specials in support of the upcoming Sci Fi Channel miniseries, The Triangle, making both programs available on-demand and via broadband Nov. 23.

The two-hour investigation, Bermuda Triangle: Startling New Secrets bows on VOD four days prior to its network premiere Nov. 27, while the 30-minute behind-the-scenes special Sci Fi Inside: The Triangle will debut on VOD and online on the same day.

Participating affiliates include Time Warner Cable, Adelphia and Insight Communications, as well as a handful of other mid-size operators. NBCU Cable will provide taggable spots for affiliates to help promote the offering.

Both programs are designed to stir up hype for Sci Fi’s forthcoming 6-hour miniseries The Triangle, which premieres December 5 at 9 p.m. The film, a contemporary dramatization about a team of scientists hoping to crack the mystery behind Triangle, is executive produced by X Men director Bryan Singer and stars Sam Neill, Catherine Bell and Eric Stoltz.
