need help understaning DP-34 and Quad LNB

Why does it take a feed from 110 and one from 119 to run the DP-34 when it only takes a single feed from either side to operate a receiver. Also... how can I use a 5XX DVR and a 811 together.

yes you can use a 5XX and an 811 together

The single side has the switch built in so it understands both 110 & 119. The older styles did not.
