Hi Everyone.

I have a Dish 500 with a quad lnbf and no multiswitch. I also have a 2700 receiver, a 3700 receiver, a 301 receiver and a 625 receiver. If I install a DPP44 switch to one of the outputs of the quad (leaving the remaining 3 outputs for the other receivers) and I attach the separator to the 625 will I be able to pick up both 110 and 119 for both satellite inputs?

As of right now, without the multiswitch but with the separator, I cannot get both 110 and 119 on both inputs on the 625. The check switch says dp quad for input 1 with 110 and 119 and dp feed for input 2 with only 119. So I am currently not using the separator and receiving both 110 and 119 on input 1 but I have to reset the input to 1 instead of 2 every morning or it will go through the process of looking for signals on input 2.

I am willing to buy a dpp44 switch if that will allow me to use the separator and get both satellites on both inputs. I am also thinking of upgrading the older receivers to solo dvrs.

Thank you for all your help.

Connect a line from the left side of the quad and one from the right side of the quad to 2 inputs on the 44 switch.
Connect a line to each of your rcvrs from the outputs on the bottom of the switch, making sure that the legacy (2700 and 3700) are on the 3rd and 4th ports.
Also make sure that the power inserter is used in line on the 1st port.
Use the separator on the 625.
Smile.

Be sure to run check switches on all rcvrs after installation.
The 2 sat option can be highlighted on the legacy to decrease test time.
Welcome :)

First thing that strikes me as strange is that the Quad must be a Legacy Quad. It has to be if you have a 2700 & a 3700 running off of it, unless you have DP adaptors on them. As such a DPP44 would not work with a Legacy quad. You would also need 2 lines from the LNB to feed the switch.

The seperator will not work with a quad, so that would give you the error you see on the 625. What still has me confused is if you actually have a DP quad or a Legacy Quad.

The 2700 and 3700 have adapters on them. So even if though I have a Dish Pro Quad the separator still won't work with a DPP44 switch?

Follow DRdeceased instructiond for using the Quad with DPP44 and you should be OK. The 2700 and 3700 can be connected to the DPP44 without the DP adapters and the 625 will use 1 port and the sepparator so you should be able to connect 6 receivers to that setup.

No way to get 6 receivers hooked up with only one DPP44 switch. Even though there are still 2 unused ports on the quad, once you run the check switch and recognize the DPP44, the internal switch in the quad will de-activate.

Not true. I have setup 6 single receivers using a DP Quad and a DP 34 switch. The internal switch did not de-activate. I assume you would get the same results with a DPP 44.

Its only 4 rcvrs.
5 tuners total.
"a 2700 receiver, a 3700 receiver, a 301 receiver and a 625 receiver"
Dunno where 6 rcvrs came from.. lol
True an external switch is supposed to deactivate the internal making the other ports 'useless' without a 2nd external switch.

non legacy twin or 2 non legacy single lnbf
44 switch
legacy's on the last 2 out ports
no adapters needed
power inserter required on out port one

You can also get outputs for 6 tuners (as opposed to receivers which can be dual-tuner) with a DP Quad to a DP34, but wouldn't be able to use the Separator.
