and wishing he could thank local officials, as well..

Worth a read for local residents in the city if not the County of Ionia, MI.
Also a good barometer of how ANY local officials anywhere are performing...if you consider
parallel or other "emergency" situations in small cities across the country.

Media is a funny thing for towns.

When THEY want you, they are your best friend. Other times when they see media they want nothing to do with Media.

In a situation like the one mentioned in your blog it should have been one call they made so that you could get the word out and help keep people safe.

Of course its probably the reason most stations with news rooms have banks with police scanners as they probably don't get any calls from the city either. :D
