I was able to talk E* into replacing my old Superdish that I get 110, 119, & 118 with with a new 1000+ dish so I can get 110, 118, 119, & 129. They waived the upgrade fee of $99 for me, so I got it for nothing.

I noticed that Comcast Sportsnet New England HD, NESN HD, and Sportsnet New York HD are not on 129 but are on 61.5 which I still have installed on my roof.

My question is: When they come and install the 1000+, will I still be able to have them set it up so that I can still get 61.5 for the RSN HD feeds that are not on 129? Is the installer able to do this? Will he do it?

It can be done, but not easily. If you had a 1000.2 or 1000.4 it would be as simple as plugging the 61.5 output into the LNB IN port of the 1000.2 or 1000.4. I believe the 1000+ requires a DPP44 switch with all inputs being filled by the 1000+ signals. There's a thread around here somewhere on adding a 5th satellite position. The installer probably won't do it unless he/she gets paid extra as it won't be on the work order and will require additional switches and labor.

Can be done easly. Instead of using a 1000+ use the 500+, (same dish without the 129*)and get your HD off the 61.5. Yes you will need a DP+44 switch. I assume you get your locals off the 118.7, or are you getting some kind of international programming? You are also upgraiding to a HD reciever as well, or already had one with no HD programming?

They will install the required dish. If your property has obstructions that prevent reception of the 129 satellite, the tech MAY install a 61.5 wing dish.
