Hey everyone,

I challenged myself over the Holiday to come up with a simple developer utility for Roku, and it just sort of spiraled from there... while it's not geared towards developers anymore, I think there's some potential here for something cool.

channel PEAR is a utility for Roku devices that lets you add MRSS feeds, IPTV streams, and video files as a playable sources complete with custom titles and cover art. Perfect for testing your own sources or for building a rich media library!
Supported file types include: MKV (H.264), MP4 (H.264), MOV (H.264), M4V (H.264), M4A (H.264), M3U8, M3U

It should be noted that this channel is still VERY MUCH in development. Infact, if you poke around enough, you will more than likely encounter a roadblock. I want channel PEAR to be a community experience, and as such I'd appreciate your feedback, bug reports, suggestions, or anything else you want me to know.

Thanks for checking it out!

always looking for more m3u8 files of different channels for more info go to the website.and join the forum

Been playing with the channel for the last couple of nights. Some really good stuff here. Mostly channels from overseas with sub-titles but very watchable. A good amount in true HD as well. Reminds me of when I done a great amount of overseas travel. A great addition for the cord cutter. I especially enjoy BBC1, Discovery, and Adult Swim channels. Thanks for the pointer.

added and trying it out. seems stable, some are dead though. Looks like Spanish feeds of a lot of stuff in English with Spanish or Portuguese subtitles, lots that are actually Spanish that are labeled as English too.

No way this is a legitimate channel, but I will enjoy it while I can. Lots of channels with sub-titles in Spanish.

I don't think there were enough flaming hoops to jump through to see programming. Perhaps if they make you select each channel by going to a separate web page and typing a short jibberish code....

This channel is great so far. The streams have been around internationally for many years, it's the fact that this channel gives you the capability to play them on the Roku which is cool. It's a ton easier this way then the normal "Media Center" process and costs.

As for the channels, they are international which doesn't have the same "pain in the @SS" loops as here in the States. This country is a bit behind the times in regards to IPTV but that's a commercialism issue I suspect. For streams that are more private or copyright sensitive, they are account/password protected and wouldn't work with this app or simply the stream goes down which does happen quite often as well.
