New version of 622

How much more (in time) will the expanded hard drive of the 622-1 hold of HD content compared to the 30 hours of the current one?

Current 320GB HD allows 25 hours on about 250GB, that is 70 GB for other purposes.

500GB HD is 180GB more might translate to 18 more hours for a total of 33 hours.

There is a possibility that the extra space on the ViP622-1 will be used for VOD. We just don't know yet.

VIP-622, all depends what hd channel and bitrate. Right now I have

15 HD movies 35.36 hours of HD recordings
6 SD 6.95 hours

HD: Ohr 26min SD: 2hr 51mn Avail

My 622 allows 30 hours of hd recording, so the menu says but I erase any hd video as soon as I finish it so there is always 10 hours left for something not expected.

on 250 GB disk - 186 GB
on 320 GB disk - 206 GB
