New York Locals - HD?

I'm contemplating a "move" from CT to New York. If I did go forward with it, would I get CBS, NBC and Fox all in HD? Does everything else stay exactly the same (as far as all other channels)

Also, how would I go about watching local CT news if I did move?

Yes, you would get the four major networks in HD, if you have a ViP receiver and subscribe to the local package. If you are within the spotbeam you would receive the rest of sd locals offered by Dish, if not within the spot beam you would also receive in sd the four major networks the two superstations in NY and maybe on PBS channels. If you want to receive your local news, you could hang an ota antenna and incorporate them through the ViP receiver tuner.

IF you have a 622 hd dvr you can "move " and get New York hd locals on the 61.5 satellite. You can pick up your CT. locals on your ota antenna if you have one installed. I do similiar with Houston ,Txhd locals and Beaumont, Tx ota locals.

I currently have a 211 receiver and a seperate HD satellite so I should be good to go correct?

There's got to be a better way..I JUST WANT TO WATCH HOUSE IN HD!!!

from your other post asking about NESN, remember if you "move" to NY, you will lose NESN as your sports channel. You will get SNY, MSG, and FNY.
