NFL Network launched Tuesday, after weeks of preparation and promotion during NFL games and through other venues.
The channel is available to DirecTV subscribers on channel 212, near sports channels from ESPN. And it's on Cablevision's VOOM, the recently launched DBS service, NFL Network is available on VOOM channel 312.
No announcements concerning carriage via cable were available at press time, though some talk suggested the channel may score a MSO deal or two just prior to its launch.
NFL Network will provide coverage of the league seven days a week, 24 hours a day, throughout the year. For the debut of the channel, four companies signed on as advertisers: Campbell's, Coors, Motorola and Southwest Airlines
