When I woke up this morning, I turned my receiver on and there was not ANY Dolby Digtal sound at all!! Nothing through the optical or coax. If I select Dolby Digital off, it works. I reset everything. What do I do?? Also, does anyone know how long this receiver is warrantied?

coax. I think the update lastnight did the damage. d said it could take up to 3 days o well i still get sound thank god! I Tried the optical as well same poping sound. I have it hooked up from nov,this was the first time.
Is this in a HR21 reciever? The latest national software upgrade killed DD over coax or optical for a lot of people, especially those with Yamaha receivers. It is a known problem now. The workaround for the time being is to turn off Dolby Digital in the HR21. Whenever you change channels, pause, etc you will need to hit a button (enter works) which causes a "bonk" sound for the audio to come back. It seems to still work if you get audio over HDMI connections.
