JetBlue and D* Team Up With WNYW-FOX5
(Announced in press release Oct 27th. Go to jetblue site, look at D* inflight channel list, bottom of the page.)

I understand the legalities of the deal but ..... philosophically, why can a JetBlue Airbus flying over my house, two timezones away from NYC, get the NY NBC & FOX locals but I can't?

As a matter of principle, I called D* and asked for a copy of their waiver. The offshore phone rep was a bit confused. :D

1.) Commercial accounts =/= Residential accounts

2.) By waiver do you Jet Blue's waiver? I'm sure they didn't need one.

I'm with you. I'm not naive enough to assume that business contracts would meet the same requirements as residential. It's simply frustrating to know content is offered elsewhere while I'm stuck with local affiliates b/c of a quaint, outdated gov't rule over what I can watch.
