Old RCA box help

I have had an old RCA receiver laying around since I was a customer about 5 years ago and having just signed back up I had a new access card sent out so I could use it in a bedroom. My problem is the guide does not show a lot of the channels! Like DIY for example. I can manually punch them in and go to them fine but the guide just does not show any channel there. Will it eventually auto update itself or what?

Check your "Favorites list", that is what determines what shows up in your guide.
Your probably set for a perticular set of channels that use to be watched.
Add what ever channelas you want or use the "All Cahnnels" guide.
