Plasma's days were numbered as soon as 4k came out... Way too hard to do that many pixels...
I see OLED doing much better. At this early stage in its life cycle it appears to be priced reasonably. No, it is not main stream pricing, but remember when a 42" standard definition plasma cost 20k? LG seems to be getting the price down faster than the curve was for Plasma or LCD, and is out performing the competition.
The big question of course is when/if other competitors come online. LG has a big patent advantage with the white OLED solving the blue OLED lifespan issue.
