Only half a system

I have Dish 500 with two receivers. The one receiver suddenly lost the signal and when I test for the switch box, it can't detect one. The other system is perfect.
I have installed two new switches and new cable to the one receiver. That helped for awhile.
What would cause one dish to have one receiver bad and the other good?

Could be a bad/loose coax/connection from the switch to the receiver having the problem, Next time switch the lines and see if the problem goes to the other receiver.
