I saw it on eBay this morning. There's not much different from S10 but two rear usb and some couple of upgrades from previous Openbox.

Sorry Brett, I gotta agree with eurosport's two face palms.

It's not you, it's the unending stream of "openbox" stbs & their clones coming from the left edge of the Pacific. Most with little support for too short a time.

To which we all can agree:rolleyes::

It's the Ali 3606 Boo

Save your money.

You got it, I wasn't planning on buying one. I have a S10 that works great with the latest firmware. I was looking at picking up another to replace the viewsonic I'm using upstairs. It's not HD, but the Viet channels on 97W aren't in HD anyway. Not in a rush as my wife and daughter are in Vietnam until January. I was having trouble picking up the TP on the 6' for 12022 like some other people are having. So it only gets 2 stations, but the 36" picks all of them (6 channels) up just fine. They were working before on the 6', but after the 60 mph winds we had I lost them. I've been upgrading the polar mount due to the winds and just about finished, just need to upgrade the actuator mount.

I just received a S16 and in the process of learning receiver corrupted it. Used a serial null modem cable and loader to restore receiver. The firmware out really sucks ! as it was written for other parts of the world. I extracted the info from s10 and now have western satellites and can scan channels. Have posted upgrade file on openbox forum etc.

Something with Ethernet would be attractive.

I have an OTA PVR system (dedicated laptop) which serves up its shows on my house LAN.
From the living room, a WD media player can access all it's content.
(along with that on several other servers)
Would love an FTA receiver that could make its recorded shows available.

Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath. :)

The Openbox series has a lan connector and works. will support a external hard drive. The S16 compaired with S10 still like the S10 better for a lot of reasons. For a low cost FTA box it is tops.

If I had no other choice but s10 or s16. I would go with s10. 16 has too many problems reported, way more than s10.
