This might be a totally silly sounding question, but here goes.

I recently cut the cord - now I just have OTA and loving the the extra money. Although I get good signal, I had some extra time on my hands and began thinking. I had DTV and have the power inserter from the slimline I had and was curious to know if I could use that inline my cable run from my OTA?

Just curious. If I could, would it improve anything?

Thanks, Mike

A power inserter sends DC voltage to power some component, what are you going to power? DC voltage on the line won't do anything except cause problems for you.

Perhaps it could power some sort of outdoor signal amplifier that would be attached to the antenna, but one of those would likely have the required power inserter included in the box.

Thanks for the replies. I have no idea what it is used for (except with my old DTV setup). I was just thinking it was some kind of signal booster or similar and it would improve "something".

Thanks again....
