So Best Buy has the Pinnacle Systems PCTV HD Pro Stick USB 2.0 TV Tuner on sale this week for $100. I've been eyeing this design for a replacement to my HD tuner card in my PC, as well as, an option for a HTPC.

Anyone have any experience with it? I'm about 90% positive I will be picking this up today (lunch break). I am curious to see if it's better than my home HD receiver.

Best Buy didn't have any in-stock (surprise) so I ordered it.

The 720x480 is what I am confused about too. 720x480 should be a 720p HD signal, but it says it supports 1080i (which should be a 1024x768). But, if it allows me to connect my camcorder to it and burn directly to DVD (as it implies) I'll probably keep it regardless of its true HD resolution.

Im wondering if the best you can display or save is 720x480. (HD would be 720p x 1280) If it is I wouldnt want it. Unless you do not want HD.

(HD would be 720p x 1280)

That's not at all what my owner's manual states for its resolution for HD. It lists it as 1024x768 for 1080i and 720x480 for 720p. This is also what my HD receiver says. I could be wrong, as I see so many numbers during the day I am sure to confuse them. However, I am more curious about using this on my laptop (when traveling) and running a camcorder through it to DVD (as the description implies). Should know more next week...

Edit: I may be really confused...found on Mr. Google NTSC is 720x480. So this could be very interesting when it arrives.
