Pocket Dish Firmware Update

I just received a pocket dish AV500E today. Great little unit. I'm trying to update the firmware. It has version 1.060 on it and Archos sites current version is 1.5.12. The problem is the pocket dish won't recognize the updated download. I follow the web site directions and tried the manuals directions and made four phone calls to Archos tech support. Tech support wasn't much help. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have any fixes. Thanks for any help. :confused

Firmware on the Archos site is for Archos units only, not the Dish-branded PocketDish. Firmware updates for the PocketDish are done via the usb connection to your Dish DVR. 1.0.60 is the latest available for the AV500E.

Thanks for the info. I wish they had a site that would give all that current information. I did find maintainence tips on pocketdish.com. It's a great product. Thanks again for the help.

The same page that lists software versions for all the Dish receivers: http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/customerCare/technical/software_versions/index.asp

The PocketDish models are listed near the bottom, along with a link to instructions on how to make it take the update. The instructions specify the DVR942 but I would guess any Dish DVR model that is PocketDish enabled will probably work.
