Primestar dishes for cband

It looks like some of you are using primestar dishes for cband. If so, which Sats can they be used for? What kind of lnb set up is best. Thanks Jason

other than a few very strong transponders you cant get much on C-Band with a Primestar

amount of channels also depends on where in the US you are...some sats have a weak beam unless you are in the centre of the US

Iceberg, thanks for the links. I couldnt find anything in the glossary for scaler rings, Dont know what that is. Also, I have access to alot of old cband dishes. Whats the possiblity of recycling the lnbf off of one of those on a primestar dish. I know a lot of stuff goes bad sitting, how about cband lnbfs? thanks Jason

This being the case, I'd just put up a "real" C-band dish then, unless of course, you don't have room for one?
