I live in Alabama and just got back from Tokyo.
Is there any way to watch the stations from over there here in America?
The Japanese Internet TV stations (wwitv.com, beelinetv.com) are ok, but I would like to watch REAL Japanese tv with the adds included, not just prerecorded news feeds and segments that download terribly slow even with a high connection.
According to the Lygsat.com there are free Japanese stations that can be picked up with certain recievers, but would that be for only in the Japan region?
There are programs on the Internet that claim to let you watch live satellite streams on your computer, but all the software does is list all the free internet stations I listed earlier. So far they have been a complete waste.
If anyone knows one of these that ACTUALLY does what it says -or if it is possible to watch these stations with a satellite, PLEASE let me know.
Thank You.

Is there a "Poor Man's FTA Satellite" or less-to-buy regular satellite?
I didn't realize there was so much involved with this.
If I knew there were a lot of channels, it would be worth it.
I thought you got a dish and a box and hooked it up and ....
Kind of like this article: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1065393/posts
But that would still only pick up regional channels and not Japanese, correct?
