I'm using a Dish VIP 622 for my OTA locals. I'm getting a stable digital HD signal from my ABC,NBC and CBS locals. My local FOX has the same 95 + signal strength but I get constant breakup and dropout. When I hook the antenna directly to my TV I get no dropout or break from my local FOX
One thing I noticed when I switch between my 622 and my TV is the 4X3 content on FOX is stretched to fill the screen on my TV. It shows as 4X3 when I run it through my 622. All the other stations local HD stations' 4x3 content show up as 4x3 on my 622 and my TV. I wonder if that might cause a problem for the 622 for some reason.
Has anyone else had problems with locals on the 622 for no apparent reason. I know a least one other person locally that has had the same problem with a 622. I sure would like to be able to record programs from my local FOX.
