I bought an electronics lot the other day and there were some old Directv receivers. I know that the boxes will not work with my SWM setup but can anyone use these receivers anymore? They are Hughes/Directv receivers one being a Tivo DVR, the other two are just regular receivers and one Rca revicer. Just wanted to know if I should just toss them or try and sell them.

Around here, old DIRECTV receivers are on the $1 table at the local electronics parts house and they're not moving.

I sold an old HIRD E-2 on e bay a few months back for $4.99. Not really worth the effort, but you never know, sometimes you have exactly what someone else is looking for on there. More likely to sell if you have the remotes.
