Question about PC as TV capabilities

I'm unclear about viewing live TV or a recorded movie on a PC. I'm contemplating setting up my TV service so that TV1 and TV2 are controlled by a 722k Duo with a Sling Adapter, while TV3 is controlled by a 211 HD Solo. If all 3 TVs were in use, could I still login to my Dish account, using a PC, to watch TV? (In effect, the PC becomes TV4.)

Also, I know that a TV must be connected to a receiver with HD capability to generate a HD image. Is that also true of a PC? Would the PC have to be connected via HDMI cable to a receiver to view a HD movie (assuming a fast broadband connection) or can the PC transmit a HD image through any wireless or ethernet connection (again, assuming sufficient speed)?

The sling adapter takes over TV2 while you stream, so it can't be viewed locally (there is a message to that effect on the screen). However, if you get a regular sling box, you can have a shared view of TV2 as you've suggested.

If the PC is on your local network, then you'll get HD from the sling adapter no matter what your broadband speed. 802.11B won't cut it, but G, A or N will. In any case, you'll still get the best image via HDMI (or component). So if it's possible to run a cable, that's the best way to go.
