Question re: Local HD Channels

Example: I'm in Detroit...and our ABC station is channel 7 and 6459 in HD....If a show such as Boston Legal is broadcast in HD, do I have to watch it on 6459 to get the HD or can I watch it on 7??? It seems that on some HD shows, it comes in on the SD channels as HD (16x9, great picture).

Is this a local channel only issue??? The difference between SD Espn and HD Espn is quite profound....

'7' is a channel that the receiver just mirrors either the sd or hd whatever you have it set on.

The default is HD so yes, if you go to '7' you'll be getting the same thing that's on 6459
