question: Samsung plasma or Sony LCD?

My Mits is a 2001 55" RPTV that seems like it will last forever. So far I replaced the 2 convergence ICs last year and it still has a great pic. I have been checking the new TVs for a while and have decided the 120 hz (LN55650) Sammy is so much better than the rest of the market its my #1. I have also been looking at DLPs as well and settled on the Mits Diamond 120 hz DLP in a 58" or 65" but bulb life is about 1 per year so I'm stuck. Right now the Mits 65" is on sale for 2699.00 and the the Sammy 55" is 2499.00 but my Mits still works so I'll wait a while longer.

The 120Hz Sammy has a spectacular picture, but in a 52" max size, I can't see spending that kind of $ to only up-size 2" over my existing 50" Sammy DLP. 58" is about the max size I can go due to space. That's why I'm asking about the LED DLPs.
