We are using our Hopper with a 1000.4 EA dish at our cottage northeast of Green Bay (Door County). We seem to lose our signal frequently with heavy overcast or rain. And last year had extended delays with snow.
I found a thread from a couple years ago that lists minimum and average signal strengths for each DMA. If that information is still current I think we have a problem. That thread lists the minimum signal for satellite 61.5 in the Green Bay DMA for transponders 10, 14, 29 and 31 as 51, 54, 54 and 48. On a clear day our signals read 53, 41, 37 and 30 for those transponders. Our signals for the 72 and 77 satellites are above the minimum and close to the average listed for our DMA.
Are our signals strengths too low for 61.5? If so is the 1st step to try to adjust the dish aim? If 61.5 is the only satellite with low signals any advice on which adjustment to try on the dish?
