New $5 Raspberry Pi:

Sort of like the old model A with higher clock speed, no Ethernet port an built in WiFi.
Shipping will probably cost more than the Pi I suspect.

Amazing! Just wish it had a full size USB port as it's going to be hard finding USB micro to full size USB converters.

I was looking at this yesterday. All sold out right now, but I wanna get a couple to have on hand for a project or two.

Just use the same one you use to charge your kindle fire or most Android based phones.

That's quite a load of technology for 5 bucks!

I just bought a Ras 2 kit (and keyboard) to play with. A Raspberry kit might be the perfect Christmas gift for the older child interested in electronics. Sure beats the old Remco "Electronics Experimenter Kits". Although, that Remco kit was maybe my favorite present ever as a kid. Never did get the Remco 'Radio Broadcaster'. Might have been a career changer. LoL. Look how BIG it is in the picture on the box!

Anyone using a Raspberry Pi with HDMI output may be interested in this item:

Cheap 19" $79.00 TV with 2 HDMI inputs, a USB port, analog video inputs, audio output, VESA mount holes, and a pretty decent tuner section.
Picked one up today for use with my Pi (and some TV watching). Picture is O.K. not shockingly great, but for the price this is not bad. Did have to turn off the energy saver and adjust some setting to get the picture to the best level. Works fine hooked up to the Pi and text is easy to read for programming. Scans in more channels than my 32" LG! The signal strength indicator shows peak signal and current signal level. Could be a nice feature for aiming an OTA antenna. Also, TV the input voltage from the wall wart is 12v dc. Well, here it is:
