Recommend Old XBOX titles for my new 360

I never had the old XBOX, always was a PS user. So with that being said, are there any really good XBOX games I should get to play on my new 360? Any must haves, per se? Do they look worth a damn too? Been playing COD2 last night some, and its great in HD! But I dont want to screw with XBOX games if they are going to look bufugly!

Halo 2 for sure and it plays in 720P on the X360. I'll have to take a look at the list of games that are compatible and then I'll get back to you.

ok thanks.. that recommendation brings up another question, do I need to have played Halo 1 in order to know whats going on in 2 (and eventually in 3)?

I've never played Halo 1, but I hear the actual game in single player story mode might be better. Halo is very fun on Live, that's all I play it on.

Here is the list of games that are compatible Xbox games on Xbox 360. I am hoping they will continue to add more titles. If you've never played any of the Grand Theft Auto titles they are pretty fun.
