Record from 721's Cable Input?

I finally got around to attaching the coax cable from my cable company to the "TV Antenna or Cable Input" on the back of my 721.

Question: Can I record the cable input onto the 721's hard drive? If yes, how?

I would say "no". The only receiver that I know of that can record OTA is the 942.

The 921 also, but that's it.

Here's the scoop: There's NO MPEG ENcoder in any of the E* boxes. Therefore, no way to record ANY analog signal from ANY source. Some digital signals can be recorded. That means satellite or ATSC signals, but NOT "digital cable".

It can record analog OTA (not sure about cable) and standard (non-HD) satellite channels.
