recording lost on 522

hi i just got 522 setup my first recording tonight for coorado college vs minnesota hockey game, i presume it recorded, but an hour ago my 522 did a hard drive check, now recording is gone
is my 522 fed up
or was this a one time glitch
after diagonostics check will hd rebuild itself properly?

It happens from time to time. No rhyme or reason as to when or why. Just consider any recorded event expendable.

522's have been notorius for this.

One unit may never do it while others seem to hiccup frequently.

All we can do is wait for the next software update and HOPE that it is addressed in that version.

We've had ours for about 7-8 months now, and it's never deleted anything. Is your box in a well-ventilated area?
I'd definitly call Dish and get a new box. It should NOT have done that on your first recording!

reciever is well ventaledted i called dish recording sportscenter now, dish said if this recording deletes to callem again and they will replace

I think he had called Dish, and is now recording "SportsCenter" (you know, that show ESPN has been running daily for the last 25 years?). Just slightly more rigorous than when I had my 522 record every "Law & Order" episode that came on (including SVU and CI) for days on end. (Alas, they disappeared too.)
