When I record music the music sounds good. When i record Stern. I'm getting very high voice volumes. Peaking out on me basically. I've tried lowering the volume on my soundcard and lowering my line in volume but I'm still getting the same thing. How should i set my levels on the Time Trax so that I don't get this peaking going on when I record talk shows? Can someone give me some pointers? appreciate it.

I'm guess you, but it's likely the levels you changed were the playback levels. You want to adjust the Recording levels. Within your sound mixer application, click on "advanced" or "options" and make sure you're actually adjusting your playback levels.

Also, be sure the TT unit is plugged into the line-in, rather than the mic-in and that the "Allow TimeTrax to control volume levels" is unchecked.

You can get your levels set perfectly by recording to a WAV file format and checking the peaks with an editor like Goldwave (www.goldwave.com).

Hope that helps... if not, please post some specific information about your configuration (exact sound card model), screenshots of your mixer settings, etc.
