We can see if the receiver has been tied to an account before, but not if it went through any repairs. All receivers are tested before they are sent out to make sure they are working like new.

Thank you guys. The reason for my asking is I purchased it from a satellite vendor (not cheap) to make sure I got a 722K and
one that's not a refurb. I would have gotten it free from Dish had that not mattered.
I just want to get what I paid for.
The ser# started with RBERMT and I thought I read somewhere that indicated it was a refurb.

Ahh. Assumed you were leasing from DISH. Your best bet is to PM a DIRT member and have them check the receiver CA ID for any indications of previous activation.

Usually the sticker on the box where it says the model will say "Refurb" in the title. It's the big sticker on the side with the removable R00 and serial number sticker.

the serial number will start with a W on a reman and with an R on a new box

It plainly says if it is refurbished on the box - no codes needed.
