So, if I lose my loaner fight with Panny (which will mean Ill never buy another product from them again), is there any good ideas for a tv rental for 2-3 weeks?

My other option is to spend a few hundred bucks on a 26" LCD, but it just reall dont want too.

Does rent a center only do rent to own?

Unless you have a special maintenance plan or you bought a TV set from a local Home Theater dealer, who wants your future business, I doubt you will get a loaner that easily.

Just buy an old set at a garage sale for $10-20 and then through it away once you get your set fixed. ;)

Or, if you could use a TV in the bedroom, this might be the perfect justification for picking up a decent 32"-40" LCD in the $600 to $1,000 range. (though I would avoid a Samsung, if you think Panasonic's service is bad). You could of course also get a 42" 720p Panny plasma for about $800.

No, they don't. You rent by the week, for as long as you want. A co-worker used to have "World Cup football" parties years ago, back when "big-screens" were the exception, not the norm, and would rent a big-screen TV for this. When it was over, he called them and they come and pick it up.

Yepp. I called em, can get a 32" LCD for $24.99/week. Im gonna go this route, I have no need for a second tv, just dont wanna spend a few hundred bucks on something thatll sit.
