Anyone know where I could buy a replacement pivot joint for a vonweise actuator? I kinda browsed the vonweise site but didn't see anything there. Possibly an automotive store?
Just google "heim joints"

Just google "heim joints"

And some places refer to them as "Rod Ends". FYI some of them have grease fittings on them.

Oh, and it looks like you got your money's worth out of that one!

Was on a dish i reclaimed, figured a vonweise was better then the superjack 2 I had on my dish. It still moved and had some surface rust on the part of the actuator that had been exposed to the elements. Cleaned it up with some 3m pads and some wd-40 and wiped it clean with some clean rags. Still stained but is smooth. The pivot points were frozen solid. The bolt is rusted in the hole and i figured it was gonna break when it kinda bent when i took it off the dish.

I found a replacement for 11 bucks plus freight so not too bad now its just time to figure out if i have to do something witht he reed switch after i get it installed. In this instance the heim joint was 1/2 x 1/2-20 which surprised me a little as i figured it woulda been metric.
