The spec for the 5lnb dish says it is highly recommended to use this type of cable. All of the local electric supply houses around my area are only selling RG6 with the copper clad centers. Any places online that sell the cable for a good price and small qty's around 350 feet or so? Thanks for any help.

24 cents a foot? That is way too expensive. that would equate to $120 for 500 feet or $240 for a thousand foot roll.

Me I would use Belden 7915A. It is the same as Belden 7916A but instead of being quad shielded it is tri shielded. In most cases quad shielding is overkill. They both are solid copper center.

I just bought a thousand foot roll for $114 including shipping to northern Mississippi from Tri State Electronic.

Try Home Depot if you have one in the area. 500' runs about $35.00.

My Lowe's carries a Zenith branded Solid Copper center, but it is expensive. Like $40 for 250 feet.

I used Belden 1829BC in my house. It is the same as 1829A except is has the solid copper center.
